Hennessey Perfomance, based in Sealy, Texas, says its Hennessey Venom GT set a Guinness World Book-record time of 13.63 seconds from zero to 300 kph, or 186 mph, in January 2013. The company plans to build a total of only 29 all told. The Hennessey Venom GT design is based on the Lotus Elise roadster and Exige coupe model. The Venom GT is supported by a supercharged 6.2 liter LS9 V8 engine, similar employed in the Corvette ZR1, that produces a total of 725 bhp. With a curb weight of 2,685 lbs, the 1200 HP Venom GT can reach a top speed of 275 mph. The supercar features lightweight carbon fiber bodywork and carbon fiber wheels, a programmable traction control system, CFD (computational fluid dynamic) tested bodywork, an active aero system with adaptable rear wing, and an adjustable suspension system.

The new Lamborghini Veneno Roadster made its U.S. debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, showing off a super-powered stereo and plenty of muscle.
